DESCRIPTION
Individually hand-crafted from the Australian Black Wattle tree, these beautiful handmade  hunting killer boomerangs are a collector’s item.

This wonderful boomerang comes in a gift box on a bed of wood wool, with a gift card from a Australian Aboriginal artist.

Black wattle timber is very hard to find and these boomerangs are handmade by a master craftsman.

Joe and Josh spend many days along river banks and farms, looking for the right shaped black wattle roots that Joe can shape in the traditional manner that Joe was taught over 70 years ago.

THIS IS A GENUINE KILLER HUNTING BOOMERANG
This is a traditional hunting and killing boomerang. It is meant to travel in the direction thrown and not return to the thrower. This type of boomerangs is designed to curve very slightly when thrown. This allows it to stay in the air long enough to cover a larger distance.  Australian Aboriginal people used these large boomerangs to hunt birds, kangaroos and emus. These non-returning boomerangs are larger and heavier than the returning boomerangs and have a distinct hook shape.

BOOMERANG MAKER AND ARTIST
Made in the traditional manner by 87-year-old Aboriginal Elder, Joe Ian Skeen, and or his equally famous son, Josh Skeen.

Joe Skeen is a Kuku-Thaypan elder and third generation Aboriginal artefact maker.

He is widely acknowledged as Australia’s best and most famous maker and painter of boomerangs in Australia.

NATIVE TIMBER DIFFERENCES FOR EACH BOOMERANG
Please note that each black wattle hunter killer boomerang is hand made from available native timbers and that each will have different wood grains and vary slightly in size.
